NPD has released their report on the Canadian Gaming Industry. The findings? We love games more than ever! My fellow countrypeople spent a whopping 2.09 billion dollars on console-related purchases. And if we add PC related sales onto it, that should come up to about 2.09000000001 billion dollars (just kidding, PC! We love you)!
All kidding aside, the breakdown goes like this: Wii took 44.1% of the sales, Xbox (presumably the X360) at 25.5%, and PS3 at 21.7%. That means the Wii would be the Conservatives, the X360 is the Liberals, and the PS3 would be the Bloq. They would be, except that the numbers don’t match.
In either case this means the X360 can try to team up with the PS3 to take down the Wii, but the Wii would get word of this and then get the Queen to suspend the entire industry for a few weeks (I feel so clever with this analogy – don’t try to stop me now!) Ok, I’m stopping.
