Just days after releasing a viral teaser trailer into the wild, Capcom has formally announced the production of Dead Rising 2. Development of the title is being handled by Blue Castle Games, a Canadian studio located in Burnaby, British Columbia, with assistance from the original game’s development team. Keiji Inafune will serve as the game’s producer.
Capcom states that Dead Rising 2 will “take the franchise to a new level of zombie-killing fun, with tens of thousands of zombies,” and that the game will take place several years after the zombie infestation of Willamette, Colorado, in the Las Vegas-inspired Fortune City.
Dead Rising 2 will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms.
