Good news for survival horror fans who own a Wii: there will be a Dead Space experience for you. We had fun with the first venture into this new franchise, so let’s see what EA can do given the technical limitations of the Wii. Dead Space Extraction will use the Wii’s motion controls (presumably MotionPlus) and will feature “first person dismemberment combat”, co-operative play, in addition to new weapons, levels, gameplay, enemies, story, and characters.
No release date has been announced yet, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled. Meanwhile, enjoy this trailer from E3.

I find it interesting that Electronic Arts would choose to release a prequel for a console in which the original game was not available, and has shown little interest in hardcore mature games.
