Nintendo is announced that a new version of the best-selling fitness software is on the horizon: WiiFit Plus. Making some changes to the way the game tracks data, Nintendo have tailored WiiFit Plus to be a much more personal experience the second time around.
With all new measurements and analytical tools, WiiFit Plus is said to determine a specific workout routine for each individual user. The game will keep track of calories burned during each session, and will allow users to disable the interludes between exercises for a more seamless experience.
WiiFit Plus adds six new strength and yoga exercises, fifteen new balance games, and an all-new adventure mode. Adventure mode is a forward-moving platform game that puts you in the shoes of Mario. You’ll need to jump over pits, dodge swinging obstacles, and avoid enemies, all by using the Wii Balance Board. Will there be a princess waiting for us at the end?

The workout routine is what I was hoping the first Wii Fit would do for you. So I guess this means I will have to buy the new one…and hopefully use it. I must say the front-scrolling platform game sounds interesting.
It adventure mode looked fun, which is something I didn’t expect from a WiiFit title. That, coupled with the more personalized training features, will no doubt bring a lot of people back to their balance boards.
