Eager for a little fantasy role-playing game action? Developer Piranha Bytes, the Germany-based studio behind the Gothic franchise, is set to bring you Risen. Currently in development for the PC and Xbox 360 platforms, Risen is an action role-playing game set in a medieval world on a volcanic Mediterranean island.
With a story planned to unfold over four lengthy chapters, Risen tells the tale of an adventurer that finds themselves shipwrecked on a mysterious island. An active volcano dominates the horizon, ancient temple ruins have recently risen from the ground, and bizarre creatures infest the island.

With Risen, the team presents a new exciting scenario providing a great variety of adventures, which will keep players glued in front of their monitors.” says Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, Managing Director of Deep Silver.
