I’ve always been a big fan of watching the Battle.Net replays. The Battle Reports are not as good in that you can’t move around to see whatever you want during the battle, but it does give a nice preview of the units, terrain features, and how badly you’re going to get owned.
In the Battle Report 3, combatants put the Protoss vs. Zerg matchup to the test on a map that features destructible rocks as well as areas that block all line of sight into the area.
Is anyone else intimidated by the level of skill of the Protoss player already? And does anyone else get the urge to click on the minimap in order to see other parts of the map, or is it just me?

it not just you
btw the Protoss player plays in all the battle reports and wins every time.
they should put players similar in skill or it isn’t as fun
Yeah, it’s true. I watched the other two battle reports today and the other dude got smoked. But I think this third one really showcases the Protoss player’s skill because there’s a lot of micro involved.
I can’t believe that the protoss player in the first battle report didn’t even blink with his stalkers, hehe.
in the first battle report (i think it was the first Terran vs Zerg) there was very impressive use of the so called homing missile ability
and the battle was funner overall.
Yeah, I think that was in the second one. I wonder what the range on it or how long you have to run for to outrun it. But even if you can, it seemed like it would serve as some kind of CC at the very least.
I think I enjoyed this third battle report the most though because at some points in the game I thought the Protoss player was making mistakes but it was all part of his strategy, and even though some fights I thought he wouldn’t recover from but he still did. And some clever ambushes from the zerg, too. That mind control infection thing is sick.
I gotta say, not being an RTS fan myself this does look pretty impressive. I loved the way that the Protoss player trapped the Zerg with those shields.
