Our sources in the retail industry tell us that most major Canadian retailers will be receiving their copies of the Limited Edition release of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger today. To confirm this, we contacted several EB Games stores this morning and a representative at each store verified that they will be receiving the game today. However, our calls to Best Buy and Future Shop were met only with confusion as the game does not appear to be in their system.
Unfortunately, each EB Games store is said to be receiving only one to three copies of the game. Some stores even indicated that they may not be able to honour all of their pre-orders. If you have the game pre-ordered at EB Games, you may want to give them a call and find out whether or not you’ll be receiving your copy today.
We’ll be staying on top of the situation as it develops. Feel free to send us an email or post a comment if you find a store that has some extra copies!
Update: For those unable to find a copy at a local game store, Amazon.ca has just added a listing for the Limited Edition version of the game to their site. Unfortunately, the shipping estimation reads “usually ships in 1 to 3 weeks.” If you really want the extra goodies offered in the Limited Edition bundle, however, it may be your only option.
Update 2: We have received several reports that EB Games stores in the Greater Toronto Area have received their shipments. However, most stores have only received enough copies (or less) to honour their pre-orders.

EBGames clerk in Carrefour Laval (Laval, Quebec) indicated that the 6 last people who pre-ordered won’t be receiving their copy.
If you pre-ordered the game one month before its release date, there are good chances that you’ll have to transfer to the regular version, and wait until the 29th… if all goes well this time.
Oh sorry, this was for the PS3 version.
Someone I know pre-ordered for PS3, couldn’t get the game, but he was able to buy a 360 instead from the same store.
Can’t find one in downtown Montreal, had I known Aksys would be making so few copies I would have ordered it 10 years ago.
It seems like it’s only hitting Ontario now, so hopefully it’ll be arriving in Quebec sometime this afternoon!
Yeah I’m in British Columbia; my copy has yet to arrive, so it may just be you lucky Central Canadians who get your copies (lol west coast alien nation). I’m just praying that EB is having a late post day and calls me to tell me my game is in.
I’ve called three EB’s around the province, so far no one has received the game; and none of them have any clue when they might. Don’t order from Coquitlam centre if you can help it, they’re rude.
That’s unfortunate news. I wish everybody the best of luck in getting this. I was one of the lucky ones. ^_^;
I got blazblue for PS3 from the EB across from Cedarbrae mall in scarborough. It had 2 ps3 copies and 2 360 copies left. GO GO GO!!!! BTW this is the EB across from Cedarbrae not the one in it!!!
Awesome info, thanks!
I was at the Game Centre on Yonge and Charles and they had a few copies left of the limited edition set for Xbox 360. Get em while they’re hot.
