Sony Computer Entertainment and Marvel Entertainment officially announced at the San Diego Comic-Con that they will be collaborating to create original LittleBigPlanet content based on the Marvel Universe. Announced during Marvel’s panel discussion on Sunday while discussing the next generation of Marvel videogames, the collaboration is said to produce Iron Man, Wolverine, and Captain America costumes for LittleBigPlanet, amongst other new content.
Could we see a level designed to emulate the X-Men’s Danger Room? What about a battle with a giant Sackboy Sentinel? So many possibilities! Though the inclusion of Wolverine is awesome, the Canadian comic nerd in me would also like to see some Alpha Flight representation. Give us Guardian, Vindicator, and maybe even Northstar! Just don’t give us Puck!
This collaboration is still in the early stages, so it is likely that we won’t see this content until later this year, or sometime in 2010.
