‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ demo lands on August 7, new trailer emerges from the Bat Cave

The August 25 release date of Batman: Arkham Asylum is fast approaching, and if you’re still on the fence about whether or not to step foot into Gotham City’s prison for the criminally insane, Eidos Interactive has announced that a demo for the game will be released on August 7 for the PC, PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360.

The demo for Batman: Arkham Asylum opens with the Dark Knight and Commissioner Gordon delivering The Joker back into confinement at Arkham Asylum. Unfortunately, things soon fall apart as The Joker gains the upper hand and springs a trap, setting all of Arkham’s occupants on the Caped Crusader. The demo promises to offer fans a chance to experience the game’s FreeFlow combat system, the Invisible Predator stealth mechanics, and some of Batman’s famous detective work. Players will also be able to unlock character bios, as well as get a sneak peak at some of the infamous foes that Batman will encounter within the confines of Arkham Asylum.

To prepare you for the upcoming demo, Eidos Interactive have released a new Batman: Arkham Asylum trailer.
