Cambridge, Ontario’s HuK is a rising star on the international StarCraft II scene, recently beating such renowned players as TheLittleOne and grandpa ‘toss WhiteRa. Find out about this 21-year old Protoss player’s future plans, his kind of French-speaking heritage, who his favourite players are, and more. Where do you think HuK will end up? Tell us in the comments. Personally, I think it’s probably TeamLiquid, which if true, will become my favourite eSports team of all time with a roster of Nazgul, TheLittleOne, NonY, and HuK.
The entire interview is 23 minutes long. If you have any questions for HuK, leave it in the comments here and we’ll ask him in the next interview. Also, as this is the first audio interview we’re posting, give us any feedback you have.
Edit: Removed the audio for now, going to see if I can remove some of the breathing/static. Sorry folks! Check back in a bit and hopefully I’ll have it resolved.
Edit2: It’s back, and hopefully a lot better. I just spent a lot of time learning Audacity to fix up the file and again, apologize for any ear damage previously incurred. It’s still not perfect but I will endeavour to do better in the future when setting up my microphone.

No offense, but I’m a big fan of HuK myself, but I doubt he’s going to join TL since they recently banned him from their forums.
Oh they unbanned him shortly after. HuK is a professional and I’m pretty certain he’d take the opportunity to join a great team like TL. But maybe it’s just that I don’t really know any other “high profile european” teams. Maybe mouz?
jesus the interviewer’s voice is so annoying and breathes into the mic? are you serious?
Don Tam, why do you gradually speak on the tip-toe highest note of your voice? man up and speak like a man
This post is priceless. What exactly do you think a man should sound like?
Are you the Alabama Man in disguise?
Decent interview, but it does seem like you havent rly prepared anything at all and blowing into the mic aint a plus either
I’ll get ya one day HuK. that’s for sure.
I definitely apologize. I did some test recordings the previous night and noticed that my “th” sounds resulted in that but couldn’t fix it, I need one of those mic covers for my headset maybe.
Also I worked it out with HuK before hand and wanted it to be more of a casual conversation instead of a more rigid interview. I had topics and questions in mind, though. Do you think a structured interview would have been better?
You can still have made alot of preparations and still have the casual talk, I do agree that the “robotic” interviews are more or less always the same and so so so boring.
Alittle more structure and I’d be satisfied, I’m not being picky though
Good job.
I think a little more structure could have been helpful. However, the lack of structure and confidence really didn’t take too much away from the interview itself. The only thing that really distracted me was the occasional breath into the mic.
These are all easy things to work on in preparation for your next interview with someone, so you’re already 90% there! I think you did a great job and it’s even nicer that you go so far as to ask your readers’ opinions.
Not a bad job there Don, although it did seem like you did make it seem a bit “robotic: like Habit posted. To be honest tho it sounded like you were a little nervous, well to me anyways. Otherwise good job!
I listened to the edited version of the recording. I could see breathing into the mic being irritating, but I can’t understand what people are having a problem with when it comes to Don Tam’s voice.
I am surprised HuK would feel like he’s being a jerk by charging “so much” for lessons. He has better things to do with his time, so I can understand the price.
I love the meaning behind his name, it’s pretty hilarious and definitely something I never would have known.
