The Emerald World of Gloom Lv. 86 may not sound like the kind of place you’d want to frequent with your friends, but in the eyes of Dragon Quest IX players, it’s the place to be. Better known as the Kawasaki Locker Map, named after the public lockers at Kawasaki Station in Tokyo where the original founder of the treasure map would frequently distribute it, it has been highly sought after since its discovery. The map is known to feature a very high ratio of high-ranked blue chests, which contain some of the best equipment found in the game, and they are supposedly distributed throughout the dungeon in a very convenient matter. If I sound uncertain about the exact details of the Kawasaki Locker Map, it’s because I don’t actually own a copy of it. However, that’s about to change.
Dragon Quest IX players in the city of Toronto have organized a meeting to exchange their randomly generated and collected treasure maps, including the Kawasaki Locker Map, at the Eaton Centre this weekend. If you’d like to get your hands on the renowned Japanese map, or just tag other players to expand the size and functionality of your Quester’s Rest Inn, here are the details.
When: Sunday, January 30, 12:30pm
Where: Eaton Centre – Food Court at southern end (Queen Street)
So come, eat some food, collect some maps, and perhaps even explore a dungeon or two with your fellow Celestrians.
Check the Dragon Quest IX Tag (Toronto) Facebook group for further details.
