In order to cut back on time spent posting about these MMOs so that we can get around to playing them, we’ve condensed three announcements into one post.
First, taking the term ‘new expansion’ to a whole new level (ten levels, to be exact), Blizzard has barged into Popcap Games’ popular puzzler, Peggle, with ten World of Warcraft-themed levels. I guess it’s only fair play considering the release of the Peggle and Bejeweled mods for WoW earlier this year. I haven’t tried them yet, but based on names alone, Pwnyxia is already my favourite level. You can find all ten delicious levels here.
Second, the previously announced free-to-play model of Dungeons and Dragons Online, Eberron Unlimited, is destined for freedom on August 6, 2008. The new content and level cap expansion for this upgrade, including a new class, will be accessible to VIP members (read: subscribers) two days early on the 4th. According to the press release, the Beta for the new content has been a HUGE SUCCESS, so I’m interested to see how this one pans out.
And finally, we have a new upstart Aion, which has just finished another Beta event on North American shores. NCSoft has been kind enough to provide us with some new screenshots, including some of the warrior classes, in order to tantalize us further:
